Born and raised in Canada, and a mom to three kids.
Growing up, I was told that doing well at school and having a safe career was the epitome of success. I completed an undergrad in finance, and worked a corporate job at the bank.
I quickly realized that in the corporate world, it is all too easy to fall into the trap of spending money to appear successful.
The truth is, saving is powerful.
Having financial freedom, freeing your mind from the stress of doing mental math all day long – that's true empowerment.
Having experienced financial abuse myself and spending many years paying off a family member's debt, I decided to dedicate my life to teaching Muslim women financial literacy.
